The Goffstown Parks and Recreation Department and Library are hosting a Rail Trail walk and social event on June 1st at 10:00 am. The event will be held at the Parks & Recreation Building, 155 South Mast Street. People of all ages and abilities are invited to attend this free activity. In compliance with RSA 41:14-b the Selectmen announce Public Hearings on 4/23/18 and 5/7/18 at 7:00 PM at Town Hall 16 Main St. Goffstown NH to accept public input on the proposed ordinance entitled “North Mast Street-Main Street Speed Limit”. This landlocked parcel off Stinson Road is of interest to the Conservation Commission to conserve land bordering Paige Hill Marsh, a Town-designated wetland. This purchase would be funded by the Land Use Change Tax Conservation Fund. The Conservation Commission held a public hearing on 4/25/18 in accordance with RSA 36-A:5, and approved the following motion:

David Nieman made a motion, in accordance with RSA  36-A:5, to vote to release an amount not to exceed $16,000 from the Goffstown Land Use Change Tax Conservation Fund, to contribute to the expense of purchasing the 10.9-acre property identified as Tax Map 8 Lot 13-A.  The property is being purchased for conservation and natural resources as described in the Goffstown Open Space Conservation Plan addendum to the Goffstown Master Plan and will be administered by the Goffstown Conservation Commission. Collis Adams seconded the motion. VOTE: 6-0-0. All in favor. Motion carries.
