The Historic District Commission's Historic Marker Program seeks to educate the public about the many historical people, places, and events in Goffstown's past by emphasizing the presence of history all around us. Each attractive marker displays a photograph and brief description of the person, place, or event being commemorated, offering visitors and residents alike a glimpse into the Town's unique heritage.
2012
The first seven historic markers were installed in Spring.
2013
In 2012 the Historic District Commission applied for and received a Certified Local Government from the NH Division of Historical Resources for the installation of nine additional Historic Markers throughout Town. The text for the markers is currently being researched and markers will be installed later spring/summer 2013.

The HDC plans to install historic markers at more than 60 significant locations around Town over the next several years, with additional markers planned for Spring 2013. |
