If the weather cooperates we hope to remove some of the trees and vegetation that are growing near the toe of the berm at Gregg's Falls over the next few months. For public safety reasons we need to maintain a fifteen foot buffer zone to protect the structural integrity of the berm. Both FERC and the state have requested we undertake this action. The roots of large and medium size trees could grow under the berm and weaken it. They have also requested that we remove the large trees that are growing near the berm on the upstream side (near the picnic area). If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us. Kevin Corriveau |
