The Town of Goffstown has contracted with KRT Appraisal to measure and list 4,000 residential properties over a 5-year period. 800 properties will be visited each year from June to October. The data collection project will start June 11, 2012 and will end October, 2016. KRT Appraisal employees in the field will have a Goffstown ID and a letter of introduction from me, the Town Assessor. I will be in the field reviewing the work performed by the KRT employees, and, since there are almost 6,000 properties in Town that need to be inspected, I will also be measuring and listing an additional 300± properties each year. Post cards with the following message will be sent out 1-4 weeks prior to an appraiser visiting your home. A representative of the Town of Goffstown Assessing Office will be in your area in the next 1 to 4 weeks. They will be inspecting residential properties for an on-going, cyclical measure and list of all properties in Town. The Town’s representative will carry a Town of Goffstown, picture identification card. They will be conducting door-to-door inspections and requesting an exterior and interior inspection. If an adult is not at home, the exterior inspection will be conducted and a photograph of the property will be taken from the street. A door hanger will be left asking the property owner to schedule an appointment for an interior inspection. Please do not call prior to receiving a door hanger or if no door hanger is received, prior to August 1, 2012. Your anticipated cooperation is greatly appreciated. The first properties to be inspected in 2012 are residential properties located in the northeast section of Goffstown that have not been inspected since 2006. Please note that none of the collected data will be entered into the Town’s assessing software until after the final (October, 2012) 2012 tax bills have been sent; therefore, these inspections will have no impact on the 2012 tax year. Data collection will start on and off of Tibbetts Hill Road on the following streets:
