Glen Lake Drawdown Stakeholder Update
Greetings:
Gregg’s Falls Hydroelectric Associates (GFHA) commenced the Glen Lake drawdown on September 10th. Reservoir lowering operations were concluded on September 30th, when the reservoir reached approximately 14-feet below its normal elevation. Concrete repair work was completed on October 6th. GFHA commenced reservoir refill operations on Monday October 10th.
Over the last week, GFHA made gradual refill progress and Glen Lake is currently at approximately 4.6 feet below normal winter elevation (elevation without flashboards on top of the dam).
Over the next week, gradual reservoir refill operations are expected to continue pending river flow conditions. GFHA expects the reservoir refill process may be completed in late November.
Additional information regarding the status of the reservoir refill will be provided in next Friday’s weekly update.
