CONSERVATION COMMISSION MEETING

AGENDA – WEDNESDAY– FEBRUARY 22, 2023

GOFFSTOWN TOWN HALL – 16 MAIN STREET – LOWER LEVEL, ROOM 106 - 7:00 P.M.

Presentations:

Map 23, Lot 13 & 11, proposed Subdivision/Lot Line Adjustment & Request for Relief of the Outer 50’ of the 100’ Wetland Surface Water Conservation (WSWC) District Buffer. The proposal is to adjust the lot lines between the two existing lots and create a third new lot. The applicants are also requesting relief of the outer 50’ of the 100’ WSWC District Buffer to allow for the proposed driveway improvements that will encroach withing that outer 50’ buffer. The properties are located at Chatel Avenue, owned by Vincent & Nicholas Urban and Astron Holdings. (The Conservation Commission site walked the property on November 1, 2022. A recommendation needs to be forward to the Planning Board.)

Map 1, Lot 38, presentation of the NHDES Wetlands Major Impact Permit Application for the Upper Reservoir Dam Repair located off Back Mountain Road, owned by Goffstown Village Water Precinct.

Correction/Acceptance of the Minutes of February 2, 2023.

Request to be a member of the Conservation Commission:

The Conservation Commission needs to make a recommendation to the Select Board to appoint Jane Raymond as a member of the Conservation Commission for a three-year term expiring 2026. We have openings for a regular member and an alternate. (Susan Tucker also need to be reappointed. Susan Tucker’s term expiring 2026.)

Correspondence:

  1. Copy of Namaske Lake Dive Bid for Milfoil Treatment. Town’s proposed approximate share will be up to $7,050.00.

  2. Copy of Long-Term Variable Milfoil Management Plan for Glen Lake.

  3. NHDES Letter requesting more information for Town’s culvert repair work on Leach Hill Road.

  4. Request for congratulations letter.

  5. Copy of NHDES Wetlands Permit by Notification Application to repair a retaining wall along Namaske Lake located at 18 Shore Drive.
