The Goffstown Select Board and Fire Chief Shawn Murray are pleased to announce the hiring of Ben Selleck as Deputy Fire Chief, effective June 5, 2023. Deputy Chief Selleck brings 26 years of fire, rescue, and EMS experience to the role. He has served in the Bedford Fire Department since 2006, with the last five years as Captain of Training and EMS. He has also served as a Program Coordinator & Senior Staff Instructor at the Division of Fire Standards & Training and EMS, NH Department of Safety, Instruct new firefighters and developing the Swiftwater/Flood Rescue Program.
Deputy Chief Selleck has a bachelor’s degree from Colby-Sawyer College and is completing his MBA, specializing in Human Resources and Leadership, at Southern New Hampshire University. He is a certified Paramedic; has multiple certifications in Incident Command & Planning, technical rescue, and instructor in various fields of fire, rescue, and EMS; and has written, received, and managed more than $2.4 Million in training and equipment grants.
