Sports Sessions

We will be offering sport sessions, twice a week for five weeks this summer, beginning 7/21. The two sports we will be running are basketball and Pickleball. Basketball will take place on Tuesdays and will include games such as HORSE, knockout, or around the world. Pickleball will take place on Thursdays. There are two times slots per day at 9am and 2pm, each for an hour long. Health screens will occur before the session begins. More about the health screens can be found in the COVID-19 guidelines and precautions below.

Basketball – Participants will be asked to bring their own basketball, to avoid sharing. If you do not have one, we will provide one that has been sanitized before and after each session.

Pickleball—Participants will be using paddles supplied by GPR. These paddles will be sanitized before and after each session and will not be shared during the session.

Session Dates:

Week 1—7/21 and 7/23

Week 2—7/28 and 7/30

Week 3— 8/4 and 8/6

Week 4— 8/11 and 8/13

Week 5— 8/18 and 8/20

You do not need to arrive to your session early for the health screen. Please arrive at 9 for the AM session and 2pm for the PM session.

COVID-19 Guidelines and Precautions

The health and safety of those who participate in our programs is our top priority. We want to make sure that you feel comfortable having your children participate in any programs that we run.

Here are the steps that we are taking to keep them safe:

  • Health screens will be performed before each session. Any child who does not pass the health screen will be unable to participate in the activity that day. This health screen includes:

    • Temperature Check—done with a no contact thermometer, recorded for reference. Anyone will a temperature above 100.4 will be unable to participate.

    • Symptom Check—participants will be asked if they are experience any of the COVID-19 symptoms (cough, fever, or shortness of breath)

    • Question/Answer—

      • Have you or anyone in your family had any close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have had COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

      • Traveled in the past 14 days either: Internationally (outside the U.S.), by cruise ship, or (within the U.S.) outside of NH?

    • The instructor will wear a mask when in close proximity (6ft) of the participants. Masks are not required for the participant, but will be available if they would like to wear one.

    • The instructor will be wearing gloves when distributing equipment or assisting a participant. It is not required that participants wear gloves but they will be available.

    • During the session, participants will remain a safe social distance apart, when appropriate.

    • Parents/guardians who bring the child to the session are encouraged to stay in their vehicles for the session.

This program is free and for Goffstown residents only.
