If you would like to see a program offered that is not yet available, please feel free to contact the Parks and Recreation building to make the suggestion. We welcome all ideas. Parks & Recreation has moved to online registrations for all programs. Please follow the below instructions to register for all programs.

Program registration steps: Registration Link https://goffstown.recdesk.com/community

1. Set up a user profile for you and all family members that will be participating in a program now or in the future

2. Wait for approval from the Parks & Recreation Department

3. After approval you will receive an email confirming that your online account has beenapproved.

4. At this point you are now ready to register for programs as they become available.(WE WILL NO LONGER BE TAKING PAPER REGISTRATIONS)

* When registering a child for a program please remember to use their (Participants)name -this is why you need to set up a profile for all family members.*

5. After you register for a program you will receive an invoice via email.

6. Print invoice and return to Parks & Recreation with your payment(payable to Town of Goffstown), either mail or hand deliver (Mailing Address: 16 Main Street,Goffstown, NH 03045)

7. If you register for a program that does not have a fee then you will not have to send in theinvoice.

NEW ACTIVITIES:

Beginner Yoga 6 Week Series Class:  Misty Brisiel is offering a Beginner Yoga 6 Week Series Class staring January 4th through February 8th at 6:45 PM Wednesday evenings. Misty is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Instructor.  The series cost is $30.00 and there is a 4 person minimum (maximum of 10 persons) registration requirement.  Registration to be completed prior to December 28th. The classes will be held at the Parks and Recreation Department located at 16 Main Street Goffstown, NH 03045.  Please reach out to Misty directly to register or request additional information at  603-660-4636 or  Beginner Yoga is designed for those with no prior yoga experience.  Each 60 minute session is run less like a traditional yoga class, as postures are broken down and discussed in detail.  There are opportunities for students to ask questions, and students leave the class with a foundation of basic yoga postures and techniques. 

 

Free Yoga - An Invitation to All Golden Agers:  Misty Brisiel will be hosting FREE yoga classes on Fridays,  10:15 AM beginning December 2nd.  Misty is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Instructor.  The classes will be held at the Parks and Recreation Department located at 16 Main Street Goffstown, NH 03045.

Who is it for?  Well, Yoga is for everyone! Yes, really. You do not have to be flexible or be able to touch your toes.  Benefits of Yoga include:*builds strength increases flexibility,*lubricates joints improves balance relaxes the body *improves concentration *betters bone health protects the spine boosts immune system provides peace of mind, *encourages self-care *encourages healthy lifestyle

Bone Builders – Strengthening Seniors one class at a time: Bone Builders is a strength training and balance exercise program to prevent and reverse osteoporosis.  Participants are encouraged to call Parks & Recreation to register(497-8990 X402).  This class helps build bone density & improves balance, weights will be provided. This program is free and all are encouraged to attend.  Bone Builders is scheduled to begin on Monday, January 9th  and will take place on Mondays & Wednesdays  10am at the Parks & Recreation Building.

Adult Social: Goffstown Parks & Recreation and The Goffstown Library will be sponsoring an Adult 55+ Social the 1st Friday of the Month. Our next meeting will be Recipes & Reminiscing(bring your favorite holiday recipe to share) on November 4at the Parks & recreation Building @ 10am, refreshments will be offered. Upcoming activities: December 2nd we will make Gingerbread Houses(Pre-registration is required). Call Parks & Recreation for more program information. 497-8990 X402.

 

Goffstown High School Student Parking passes are now available for Barnard Park.

This is a first come first serve system (10 spaces at Recreation Building and 25 at Barnard Park). This is for the school year September 2016 - June 2017. Participants must have their license & registration of the vehicle they will be driving., the fee is $55.

Join our Local Goffstown Latina Jenn Hebert every Monday & Wednesday from 530-630pm for a Zumba Fitness class that will bring latin and international rhythms from around the world. Goffstown Cub Scout Pack 99 (Ages 6-10)- Cub Scouting is a year- round program uniquely designed to meet the needs of young boys and their parents. The program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness. Service projects, ceremonies, games, and other activities guide boys through the core values and give them a sense of personal achievement. Through positive peer group interaction and parental guidance, boys also learn honesty, bravery, and respect. Family involvement is an essential part of Cub Scouting, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in the program. Through interaction between parents, leaders, and friends, boys learn citizenship, compassion, and courage. This family- and community-centered approach to learning means that Cub Scouting is truly time well spent!
