OPENING: FULL-TIME MECHANIC ASSISTANT

PAY RATE: Starting to $21.68/hr, DOQ, plus benefits (full pay scale range $20.63-29.88)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Goffstown Public Works is seeking applications for a Full-Time Mechanic Assistant

• Primary duties include maintenance and repair of a variety of equipment from passenger vehicles to heavy equipment and fire apparatus. Any experience with heavy equipment, plow trucks, or hydraulic systems is a plus.

• 40 hours per week plus overtime, seasonal schedule:

  • Tue-Fri 6:30am-4:30pm (Apr-Oct)

  • Mon-Fri 7:00-3:30pm (Oct-Apr)

• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid CDL-B license or ability to attain within 6 months.

• There is a 9-month probationary period per the Teamsters Union Contract

• Drug/alcohol screening, pre-employment physical, criminal background and DMV checks are a condition of employment
